Wild Stangs

DSC_0162 (2)As mentioned before, I have an insane amount of pictures to wade through.  I also have quite the amount of pictures uploaded to WordPress and I either need to delete some, or I need to upgrade my package.  I’ve not decided which yet.  I keep trying to decide the best course of action for me and how to revamp what I’ve got going on.  The most I’ve accomplished….finally getting a portion of my pictures worked through.

I have finished two sets of my wild horse photos.  This guy is from the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary in the Black Hills of South Dakota.  I’m not sure his name,  he lives with four other guys in a pasture that is separated from the bigger herds that I’ve seen.  Painted Deserted is the only horse I know for sure, but he’s pretty easy to pick out…he’s the only paint in the group.  This guy looks like a Bucky, but I don’t know for sure.  There is also a Red Roan and from what I know of Roans, this guy could be one but there was a fourth horse that I never saw.  Prairie Dancer…maybe.  Or Pat & Mike……   Maybe a Prairie Dancer, I can see that.  Either way, he’s a beautiful mustang.

That is really where my heart has been lately.  The wild mustangs and burros of the west.  I would like to do something similar to Mr. Hyde.  My land would never be as massive as his.  The Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary consists of tens of thousands of acres.  I would settle for enough to have a small herd.  Some that would be free for the rest of their lives, or at least the rest of mine.  Maybe break one, or two, I don’t know.  Right now that is a cheap wine dream on a pond water budget.  Until then, I will just stalk them with my camera.  I’m not sure where the next adventure will take me.  They are all over.  Maybe back to Colorado. A less popular location apparently has a 150 possible, I saw four….that is unacceptable and there are a ton more in the Sand Basin that I didn’t get to see.  Who knows.  We’ll see where the road takes me.

Until then, I hope you enjoy this picture.

Live, Laugh, Love, and Let it Ride.
