The Future…

DSC_7346Yes, it is true.  I suck at the staying off of social media thing.  I gave it a try. What can I say? I do better when I have activities.  Anyway, with that said, you get another post.

Over the next few months,  I will be working on setting up an Etsy shop that will display my art and photography for sale.  That makes me nervous. I’m not sure that I can compete, but I’m going to try.

I will also be working on pieces for an art show next year.  The entry deadline has already past.  This show you have to be jury selected in…that makes me so nervous, but I will never know unless I try.  I can only be selected for one medium.  So, will submit two entries. One for my photography and one for my paintings.  I am excited to see if I am selected and for which one.   I have seen some of the entries for this year, so I would like to think that I stand a chance but perception and taste are cheeky little monkeys.

I may have high ambitions as I would also like to start writing again. I know that I have said that in the past, but as my longer post do not tend to get as many likes…I get discouraged.  But writing has always been my number one passion and I would like to start working on a book.  I’ve also realized that I really need to stop gauging my worth and talent on social media likes.

As I venture down this new path, I may be asking for some advise and help.  I hope that is okay.  Speaking of which…fellow photographers, I talk to me about film.   Good places to get developed and what not.  It has been a long time, so I am starting from scratch.

Now for the pictures.  This beautiful girl. I took these Sunday.  It was hot, sticky, and flies were horrible.  She was standing half in the run-in with her head hanging just right so that the sun bounced of her face.  The original picture required very little editing…with that it kind of bored me.   I created a black and white, then the one below. I can’t decide which one I love more. I think they both offer something different.  What do you think?

Have a beautiful day and tomorrow.
