Yesterday was election day. The stand off in North Dakota is still going strong. The many, many other things that are going on in this world. This isn’t really what I thought that I would wake up to. This morning or any other morning. I won’t jump on a soapbox. I will not take a stand (at least here in my blog) and I never discuss politics with polite company. It’s not how I was raised, it is something that I just believe in.
We all have our rights. The right to believe in what we believe in. To support whom it is we support. To stand for what we feel is right. So many rights. Me being who I am…I support each in their own right (within reason). Still sometimes it leaves me with a very heavy heart.
What I believe in….the picture above. Not the picture itself, the land…the freedom…the beauty….the thing that has actually been long lost and forgotten about. Forgotten about in a world that has become so consumed with hate, anger, and greed to the extent that we would rather take away from earth and nature, people. Then claim that we are doing it for the better good.
I believe in maintaining what peace I can and continuing to find solitude in a world where it hardly exist. And not allowing the weight of the world to weigh me down. Who has time for all that anyway.
I know not how you are feeling today. Or what is going on in your world, but I hope that you are able to find the peace that you need to make it through the day. Have a beautiful day and tomorrow.

Like the photo and your attempt to make some sense of things after yesterday…that’ll take time. As a near neighbor, we are very invested in what happens down south, and here’s hoping the future is brighter than it currently appears to be. Gotta hope!
