Toot Your Own Horn….

dsc_0514That’s a saying isn’t it? Toot your own?  Polish your own ego.  Or is it….”I don’t want toot my own horn, but…?”  I don’t know which it is.  I don’t really do either, unless there is a good reason.  There isn’t for this post.  I was really just trying to think of a good title.  dsc_0518These pictures were taken at the Montgomery Gentry concert.  For those that do not know who they are.  This guy blowing the sax is one of their band members.  Jack of all trades when it comes to instruments, or at least for the most part is seems.  I don’t remember what song they were playing…”Speed” maybe?  “I’m tired of spinning my wheels.  Need to find a place where my heart can go to heal…”  I’m not sure if that is the song, but that is the one that seems most fitting.  At least the, “I’m tired of spinning my wheels” part.  That is a soap box, though.

And now I’ve lost my train of thought.  That happens so often.  Guess it is what I get for trying to multitask at 630 in the morning.  I hope each of you has an amazing day.

Have a beautiful day and tomorrow.  dsc_0521Montana Rose Photography

The Beast….

dsc_9913This horse not my old four-legged girl (whom I still miss dearly).  He’s not really a beast, but he is a very big boy.  Percheron-Freisian.  What a beautiful mix.  They have always been on my favorite horses.

This was taken early one Sunday morning while the beauties were grazing out in the back pasture.  They made me work for it, it was worth it.

dsc_0086Horse that is.  This guy.  Beautiful guy.  Big guy.  Lady’s guy.  All the female horses use to stop and stare at him.  He now has his own little herd, but he has to complete with a big and beautiful Friesian-Percheron mix.  I’ll let you guess which one is bigger.  If you are not familiar with horses…well, it’s not this guy.  He doesn’t lose by much, but just the same.

I’ve lost my train of thought, so for now I bid adieu.  Have a beautiful day and tomorrow.

dsc_9505Or caught in a spider web….you know, whichever.

I walked a path.  One rarely taken.  I happened upon a leaf.  Dangling there in the air.  Being pushed around by the wind.  As I watched it spin.  I realized it was nothing more than a puppet on a string.  Trapped in a spider web. Suspended in the air.  Spinning with nowhere to go.  A mirrored reflection of a lost soul, traveling a path rarely taken.

Have a beautiful day and tomorrow.

Let The Music Play….

dsc_0325There is a song to that, but I can’t remember all the words at this time and truth be told…I don’t really feel like looking it up right now.  Something about getting away, I think…probably.  I don’t really know.  It is an old song.  That makes me feel old, because I use to dance to it when I was a kid.  Anyway…

This particular picture is from a Montgomery Gentry concert that I went to Friday night.  Love me some Montgomery Gentry and they are so energetic.  I may not have half the energy that they have, but I had no problem dancing and singing the night away.  More pictures to come later.

Have a beautiful day and tomorrow.

DSC_3980.jpgin Wisconsin.  I’m not, but this picture was taken somewhere in Wisconsin.  It was early and I don’t really remember where.  Or was it late….It might actually have been late. I think it was late, because I think I hit South Dakota way early the following morning (from when I left).  I’ve really got no recollection.  I just remember that I was exhausted and this was my excuse to get out of the car for longer than ten minutes.

Have a beautiful day and tomorrow.

Standing Around….

DSC_5172.jpgWhich I don’t really have a lot of time to do today, but I know that I’ve been horrible about posting lately.

These beautiful beasts were lingering in their usual spot in the Badlands.  Sage Creek…something or rather.  Always just standing around.  Well, that is except for some of baby buffalo and the adolescents.  Those little guys were full of energy and were always jumping around or starting a fight with one of their buddies.  They make me happy.

Have a beautiful day and tomorrow.
