Not the most original title, I know. I just couldn’t really think of another one. And I hope that you do not get sick of my longhorns. I don’t know if I will post all of them consecutively, but I do have a lot. These little sheep really just made my day. Of course all wild animals pretty much make my day…even skunks. Though, I can honestly say that I’ve never had the privilege (or the not so privilege, whatever the case may be) of seeing one alive. Plenty of friends have…or at least their dogs. It will be my luck that it will be Zone one day, she is always curious. Anyway, I digress.
On the way to my first campsite, during my stay in South Dakota, there was this little pull-overlooking the rocky dirt valley. These beauties loved hanging out there. There were so, so many. It was pretty amazing. Watching them sit on the thinnest of surfaces. Babies gallivanting around. Adolescents trying to show dominance and the older ones just basking in the sun as they watched the younger ones. I guess, I am a bit of a sucker for moments like that.
I actually climbed out on a rock to take this picture, which may not seem like much of a feat…however, for me during this particular stay it apparently was. That is a story for another day. For now, I bid adieu.
Have a beautiful day and tomorrow.

I’ve enjoyed this series of pictures – they are strangely photogenic animals, and definitely fun to watch!
Have a great weekend!
