I have finished the last of the pictures from the South Dakota trip. I’m ecstatic and can only hope that people enjoy them as much as I am proud of them. If not, then that is just the way that it is and I’m okay with that. I didn’t focus on this and that and all the technicalities of “creating” a photo. No, I just did what I could and snapped what I thought looked like an amazing moment to capture. That is when I realized…I’m not a photographer. I’m just a girl that takes pictures.
This is one of my favorite spots and photos. This is off of one of the main stretches of road in Custer State Park. It is where the burros and buffalo like to mingle, which usually includes a crowd of people. When I shot this photo, that was not the case. The buffalo and burros had long moved on for the day and so had the people.
It was so peaceful and quiet when I took this shot. I won’t get all philosophical or anything of such, but let’s just say…I was looking to get right with my soul and it was accomplished.
Have a beautiful day and tomorrow.
