He stood there with all his glory. His strength shining through his stance. He stared contently without flinching. This was his territory.
“Take my picture, small one, but you shall not leave. This is my land and I’m standing by your car.”
Though, I think not that he would have hurt me. He never has the before, but the fine for getting too close would have. So, there I sat waiting for him to move.
We stared at each other a few minutes longer. With a nod of his head, he turned and walked away. All his four girls in tow. Wondering off into the land of the hidden. A place I would not be able to follow.
Maybe another time and place. I’m sure I’ll see them again. A stallion and his girls. Wild spirits, who do not often let to many get as close as me.
